Al- rawdah Al-sharifa: A Sacred Site for Muslims.
Al-rawdah Al-sharifa is located in El-masjid El-nabawy El-shareef. It is bordered on the east by the chamber of Ayishah may God be pleased with her. On the west by the honorable pulpit. On the south by the wall of the mosque in which the Prophet’s mihrab is located. And on the north by the line passing east from the end of AYsha’s house, to the pulpit.
It came in the virtue of the Al-rawda Al-sharifa and the statement of its status as he, [salla Allahu alaihi wasallam], said: (Between my house and the pulpit of Rawdah is from the gardens of Paradise) agreed upon.The scholars have three opinions regarding the interpretation of this hadeeth.
The first: that is, as a garden from the gardens of Paradise. In the attainment of happiness and the descending of mercy and that is by staying in worship there.
The second: Worship has a path that leads to entering Paradise.
The third:This particular spot is part of Paradise and on the Day of Resurrection it will be transferred to it.
There are several landmarks in the Rawdah and on its outskirts. Including the honorable chamber,which contained the tomb of the Prophet, [salla Allahu`alaihi wasallam] and his two companions, Abu Bakr and Omar,may God be pleased with them. And his mihrab, [salla Allahu alaihi wasallam], which was placed in the middle of its tribal wall, and his pulpit.
